Myself Peter Smith the Director and plumber of the company, originally worked briefly in a joinery shop constructing bespoke bookcases etc, deciding it wasn't for me, I looked into a plumbing apprenticeship, I attended Lewisham college which at the time was said to be the best college in London for a plumbing apprenticeship. I attended for 2 years and left with an NVQ LEVEL 2 plumbing diploma.

I loved having a different place of work every day, in a different property for a different customer, it keeps the job exciting! After leaving the company I done my apprenticeship with, I joined 1 of London's leading plumbing companies where I spent 10 years covering most of London and increasing my knowledge significantly. When I felt I could go no further at this company, I looked to go it alone and setup a company of my own! Then RECTIFY was born!

It's very daunting setting up a business of your own, with a wife and 2 kids and a mortgage to pay you can only imagine the uncertainty taking to leap into the unknown! Truth be told I should have done it years ago, we were one of the lucky ones and hit the ground running, mainly because of the much more personal service we are able to provide, sharing our knowledge with our customers to help them understand their system and the problems they are experiencing, our quality of work and very transparent pricing structure. We are fully insured with Direct Line for business public liability insurance.
